We’ll meet monthly to watch and discuss everything from cult classics to weird indies, international horror, slashers, slow burns, and more.
Whether you’re a horror film buff through and through or new to the genre, you’re welcome!
“Hi everyone! My name is Jessie and I’m a Queer, disabled artist with a lifelong obsession of horror media. I originally grew up in Southern California, where I studied filmmaking and studio arts, and moved to Portland in 2020. Since then, I’ve focused more on sharing my love of genre film and physical media with the world. With this club, I hope to offer a chance for us to build community and connections with fellow horror fans! ”
Jessie (aka @softxdeath on TikTok and Instagram) is a horror aficionado and your horror film club leader! Her tastes lean toward psychological mind-benders, gruesome body horror, and stories centering queer and feminist perspectives. With films like It Follows, Possession, and Jennifer’s Body at the top of her list, you can expect film picks and conversations that are haunting, layered, and unforgettable.
